County Reinsurance, Limited (CRL) has published a series of Cyber Circulars discussing 12 Top Cybersecurity Controls that have a place in every enterprise cybersecurity control environment.  Each issue discusses one Top Cybersecurity Control and details its purpose, application, and implementation recommendations.  Additionally, the information in these newsletters is the backbone of the best practices in the Enterprise Risk Management Excellence Program, Cybersecurity section.     

Issues No. 1 – 9 can be found in the Member Resource Library under CRL Cyber Circulars – Top Cybersecurity Controls.  Issues No. 10 – 12 will be posted upon release.    

As noted in Issue No. 1, reinsurance carriers increasingly look for these protections when making underwriting decisions.  The absence of such measures may affect coverage offered or the insurability of applicant risk pools.  For the benefit of the POOL membership, it is critical to understand these controls and ensure they are in place and operational within individual entities.
