For anyone who is interested in a supervisory role, this two half-day course provides a general overview of what it’s
like to be a new supervisor in the public sector. This course will provide information to help you successfully
navigate the transition and discuss the challenges that come with being a new supervisor. By the end of the
class, participants will be able to:

Note: This course is recommended to employees who are interested in going into a supervisory role or are new
supervisors. Current managers and supervisors are encouraged to take the “Essential Management Skills in
the Public-Sector” Certificate Program.
